The Adama Dance School
Earth Dance - 5 months program | | |
2014-01-01 5 months of exploring Israel and its treasures while studying movement, dance, healing, art and environmental awareness, all in the enchanted oasis of Hangar Adama and Liat Dror Nir Ben Gal Dance Company |
The Adama School was opened in light of the interest in the Adama Dance Company, headed by choreographers Liat Dror and Nir Ben Gal.
The school teaches Adama's language of movement, on all its components. Our work method integrates supporting healing movement together with the accuracy and physical skill of professional dance.
The school is focused on learning dance, encompassing a cyclical worldview.
Each student meets the chance to improve and enhance his abilities, both physical and emotional. The different classes include building strength, agility, developing coordination and learning how to work within a given space. The students learn how to process the materials and turn them into a dance, which each one expresses in his own personal way, out of his understanding of space.
Emphasis is given to building, in order to enable each student to fulfill his significant desires in reality.
In addition to learning, there is the option of practicing in the school's studio, this in order to enable each student to find his own independent path.
- Students card from the student union
- Free admission to festivals held by Adama (Shavuot, Purim, Passover)
- Discounts to special events taking place in the hangar
In addition to the dance company, we operate an apprenticeship school,
In which students can learn the language of movement on all its aspects.
Our method of work combines minimums and maximums, supporting,
Healing movement and professional dance,
with all its exactness and physical complexity.
The school is intended for adults experienced in dance, movement and art
related to physical work, for those interested in learning both professional and therapeutic dance.
If you have been dancing professionally in groups for years
And you feel somewhat worn-out, or you are experiencing pain,
Then you are invited to try dancing with a different type of energy.
If you are just starting in this field, and you are interested in the world of movement on all its aspects – the movement of the body, and the movement of life –
You should try moving things in a new manner.
If you have tried martial arts and healing techniques,
And are looking for clear, Simple and effortless movement,
Then you is invited to expand your horizons.
A great deal of freedom and self discipline are necessary for us
To contain and realize space and our lives as sources of strength.
The hangar and the desert offer a place of learning and support.
How to get to Adama
The easiest way to get here is to take the train till Beersheva. Then across the street you have the central busstation. You take the bus 60 (Metropolin) till Mitzpe Ramon. Almost every hour you have a bus.
It's a 1H 30 trip and the sight is beautiful. Ask the driver to get off at the first stop in Mitzpe Ramon, after you get off take the first turn to the left( you will see our yard on your right) and then the first turn to the right. That's it!!
In a car drive on road 40. The first entrance to Mitzpe Ramon is on your right( there's a big sign "Spice Routes Quarter", turn right. Then the second turn left and the first right to the parking area.
